No Donkey Required!
Today I learned that the Ancient Romans were advised to pamper their skin with a mix of barley and eggs, crushed “with a rough millstone turned by a lazy donkey”! *
Thankfully, we don’t need to rely on donkeys these days. Angelina and the amazing services at AAMDS have provided us with so many wonderful options. No more wearing egg on our faces! Skin care today is a brilliant blending of ancient practices with modern day ingredients and millennia of experience to guide estheticians.
But I was not thinking about any of that during the fabulous custom facial I had under Angelina’s hands. After so many days beautiful summer days of boat rides and campfires I felt like I needed a little rejuvenation. Before she began my treatment, we had a lovely chat about my custom facial and how to make it the best experience for me. Her professional and friendly approach made it easy for me to talk to her about my skin care concerns and she easily knew just what I needed.
The first thing I noticed when we began the treatment was the lovely scent of the products that Angelina had selected. I just had to smile as I felt everything relax. It was bliss. Angelina was so quiet, and the treatment so gently applied that I was able to keep my eyes closed and enjoy.
My favourite part came after we were done when we talked about how to continue to care for my skin between facials and what products would be great for skin like mine. Honestly, having a custom facial at AAM was the best choice I could have made. I walked out feeling fabulous! Now to apply sunscreen and get back outside. No donkey required!
